Description
A desperate man in a deeply troubled place you must fight for your life against a horde of zombies to survive until dawn.
How to Play
Use the mouse to aim, shoot and control your flashlight. Use the w, a, s, d keys or arrow keys to move. Most of your play will be in dark lighting and you'll need to use your flashlight to see where you're going and what's chasing after you.
Survive until dawn.
Installation Instructions
Make sure you have the latest version of DirectX installed. If you're not sure if you do or if you are getting errors on startup of the game
go here to run the DirectX installer from Microsoft. Then run main.exe to start the game.
Tips
If you get alot of enemies attacking you at once try to circle around them. This will force all the enemies to get collected in the center of the room as they all try to get you. Think of
circle strafing if you're familiar with first person shooter gameplay.
It may take you a few plays to figure out what weapons work best for you. If you find yourself dying alot trying switching your weapon of choice when are prompted to choose a weapon.
Get a feel for the enemies movements. They don't always just blindly chase after you. Sometimes they may chase you and then break off revealing some openings for movement you didn't see before.

The Scourge has a great ambient soundtrack that helps immerse you in the survival/horror style of gameplay.
The choose your own adventure stlye of progression throughout the game is a nice touch to what could have otherwise been a very standard shoot 'em up.
The widescreen presentation is a nice touch too making you feel like you're in a movie.

I've never seen a game that looks and feels like this.
