Andy Wong has been blogging his life for 100+ days. Since days 104 & 105 fell on TOJam, we're part of Andy's life.
His understated, casual, rambly, self-depreciating style is utterly compelling and insanely entertaining.
WATCH IT!
It starts with ""yo, it's your boy, andrew" - need I say more?
Andy quickly points out he's a detriment to the team and easily its weakest link, yet he keeps returning.
Andy unexpectedly won a raffle prize (thanks
Houdini!)
The icing on the cake is his coverage of the Sunday evening arcade - it's priceless.
Matt Rix is an insanely talented professional game developer. He teamed up once again with insanely talented professional game developer Owen Goss to create
the surprisingly hard to pronounce
Golfailure.
The goal is to NOT put the ball in the hole, which sounds easy until you watch the
video.
It's rather brilliant.
"a poop ton of game james happened" so the charming, no-nonsense Whit took it upon himself to highlight 4 TOJam Games:
"Dying Light", "Snackoil Salesman", "Disappointing Your Dad", and "The Best Worst Gift".
In many cases Whit struggles to understand what's going on but continues unabated.
When Whit reaches the end of each game, puzzled at what he sees, he holds his tongue.
Whit, we are in your debt.
Also, did you notice the quality of illustration in "Best Worst Gift"? HOW!?
Jason Bond videos his team during TOJam and they don't kill him.
If you look closely, you'll notice they're sitting next to a pop machine... for 3 days... which they took in stride because they're goddamn heroes.
I like to think it inspired them (it didn't).
Trivia: Jason and Colin created the gentle and joyous
Shu's Garden,
which started life as a TOJam game (they were our first and only totally remote team).
