After 4 TOJams, you gather a lot of crap.
Here's everything we've gathered.

On Jan. 8 2006, Nelson Yu posted the idea for a "Toronto Indie Game Jam", inspired by the success of the now defunct GDC Indie Game Jam. Rob, Em & I responded, and met him for great coffee. 4 Jams later, we're still going.

The Evolution of TOJam

TOJam #1     May 5-7, 2006
35 People. 10 Completed Games. 7 Valiant Attempts.
Started 6pm Friday. Presentations 9pm Sunday.
24 hours a day. No Theme. No Arcade. No People's Choice Awards.
Jammers required to use 2 of 5 images and 2 of 5 sounds.

TOJam #2     May 4-6, 2007
62 People. 26 Completed Games. 2 Valiant Attempts.
9pm presentations replaced with free pizza + playing games.
Jammers required to use Goat On A Pole image, and TTC Sound.
Added "People's Choice Awards" - Jammers vote on Gold, Silver, Puce.
Jammer Brendan Lynch began taking portraits.

TOJam #3     May 9 - 11, 2008
125 People. 34 Completed Games. 1 Valiant Attempt.
Bonus Friday start time introduced (10:00am).
Required Theme added: Cheese.
Public TOJam Arcade held 1 month after Jam.

TOJam #4     May 1-3, 2009
87 People. 5 Virtuals. 37 Completed Games. 1 Missing.
Space could not physically handle more people.
Early Friday start (10:00am) now official Jam start time.
Jammers no longer required to use irritating TTC Sound.
Theme now optional: Scale. Added award for best use of theme.
Public (not jammers) now vote at public TOJam Arcade.
Removed laptops from TOJam Arcade, added more projectors.
